About PG36
History
The yellow-shade phthalo green is brominated rather than chlorinated, which shifts it toward yellow. It followed PG7 in the mid-20th century.
In mixes
Strong, transparent and staining, a warmer and yellower green than PG7. Mixes bright greens with yellows and deep darks with reds.
Drying speed is typical for linseed oil; tubes ground in safflower or poppy oil, or with driers added, will differ. These are general notes on the pigment, not on any one brand.
